Collins & Jewell Completed Job at Republic Wire
August, a crew of C&J employees started work in West Chester, OH at Republic Wire. They spent about a month on the mechanical and electrical installation of a new Davis Standard THHN (Thermoplastic High Heat Nylon) line to accommodate the expansion of Republic Wire’s product. The crew worked long days and accomplished so much in one month! Job well done, guys!
Boztoberfest at Collins & Jewell
October’s GNACC event, Business After Hours, was held at C&J on the 19th and co-hosted by C&J, Brunelli Energy, LLC, Tulli’s Family Pizza and These Guys Brewing Company, LLC. Business After hours is a networking event for Chamber members to get together, share ideas, and promote their businesses! Last month’s theme was Octoberfest in Bozrah! Attendees enjoyed German-themed food from Tulli’s, seasonal ale from These Guys in a blow- up pub, fun balloons made by Joe from Wacky Factory Entertainment and music & entertainment from Ralph Watson! It was a great turn-out on a perfect Fall evening! Thank you to everyone involved for making it such a fun event!

South Dakota Christening Ceremony
On October 14th, the submarine, South Dakota, was christened at Electric Boat. Pictured to the right, is the submarine’s sponsor, Deanie Dempsey, who is the wife of a retired U.S. Army general, Martin Dempsey. Deanie had the honor of christening the submarine using a bottle of sparkling wine from South Dakota to hit the hull. Fun fact: This metal bottle breaker in the picture was made by Collins & Jewell! We are proud to be a part of such a memorable moment for our Country!
